1994 Benetton for sale on eBay

A championship-winning Benetton-Ford B194 has been put up for sale on the German version of online shopping website eBay. The car, the likes of which was driven during the season by Jos Verstappen, J.J. Lehto and eventual Champion Michael Schumacher, is currently located in Toronto, Canada and could be yours providing two and a half million euros is available.

With the starting price having been just over €2m (£1.8m approx), the Benetton comes complete as a full package including engine, gearbox, wheels and tyres plus a selection of other equipment.

Brawn: 99 percent sure Button will stay

Ross Brawn calmed worried British fans on Monday as the championship-winning Brackley team paraded through the streets of hometown Brackley. Although Champion Button’s car may have been on display, however, the man himself was not present although the Team Principal is confident over the relationship continuing.

Court rejects N.Technology’s claims

N.Technology’s legal action against the FIA over the way that the process for the selection of the new teams for the 2010 Formula 1 World Championship has been unsuccessful after French courts rejected all of its claims.
The N.Technology’s case was heard in Paris on October 13, but the verdict was not released until this afternoon.
N.Technology was one of a number of teams that hoped to come into F1 next year, although it was unsuccessful in its application as Campos Meta, US F1 and Manor Grand Prix were granted the slots.

Cosworth confident on new teams

Cosworth general manager of F1 Mark Gallagher is confident that the four new teams are on target to be on the grid at the start of the 2010 Formula 1 season.
Lotus, Campos Meta, US F1 and Manor Grand Prix will all run Cosworth powerplants next year, and Gallagher is encouraged by the progress the teams are making.

Red Bull ‘can take fight’ to big teams

Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner is confident that the outfit will be a contender for the world championship next year despite many expecting the “natural order” to be restored with McLaren and Ferrari at the front.
Red Bull won six races this year and finished second in the Constructors’ Championship after its Adrian Newey-designed RB5 launched the team to the front of the field.
Despite recognising that the team will face tough opposition next year, he believes that Red Bull will be a frontrunner next year.

Brawn: Car makers will return to F1

The world’s major car manufacturers will return to Formula 1 in the future, according to Brawn team boss Ross Brawn.
Formula 1 has lost three car makers over the last 12 months following the exits of Honda, BMW and now Toyota, who announced last week it was pulling out of the sport with immediate effect.
Japanese tyre maker Bridgestone has also revealed it will quit the sport at the end of next season.
