British race car manufacturer Lola will remain in state of readiness to re-enter Formula 1 when a spot comes available on the grid. Lola’s boss Martin Birrane has said the team has a Formula 1 model ready to start the company’s F1 project.

It has been a very special weekend for Ferrari driver Felipe Massa who returned to the race track for the first time after a very long absence due to injuries sustained in his incredible accident at the Hungaroring in Budapest on the 25th of July. Another two names have been added to next week’s young driver test at the Jerez circuit in Southern Spain with the new Mercedes grand Prix team, formerly known as brawn GP, confirmed that IRL’s British racer, Mike Conway and Marcus Ericsson, who contested the opening round of the GP2 Asia series with ART Grand Prix earlier this month after securing the Japanese F3 crown, will represent them at the session.

According to reports in Autosport, the Formula One teams association, FOTA, has approved a further two new teams into their fold, that being Manor and Lotus, who will now join the other new entrants, USF1 and Campos Meta, meaning that all teams are now a part of the organization, that will lose one of its head men, Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo, at the end of the year.

Red Bull Racing’s up and coming young star, Sebastian Vettel, who finished his debut season with the Milton Keynes based squad in a very impressive second place in the overall classification, has received yet another award, this time from the ADAC.

Following the recent announcement of part funding by the Government-backed Technology Strategy Board, the partners in the KinerStor project have announced further details of their collaborative programme to demonstrate the viability of low-cost flywheel hybrid systems. The latest twist in the rumours linking Michael Schumacher to Mercedes for 2010 is that the German may already be contractually free to sign.
The seven time world champion’s new three-year consultancy agreement with Ferrari was announced in September.
Reports that Ferrari had not received any requests from either the 40-year-old German’s camp or Mercedes were therefore seen as evidence that the rumours lacked substance. But it emerged this week that Schumacher’s new contract with Ferrari may not have actually been signed.

Stefan Grand Prix, the Serbian team that is seeking a move into Formula 1, says it is still looking at opportunities to make it onto the grid next year – despite dismissing talk that it is about to buy Toyota’s F1 entry.

Mark Webber says his motivation remain as high as ever as he targets an even stronger championship challenge in the 2010 season.

The Renault team will test Bertrand Baguette, Lucas di Grassi and Ho-Pin Tung in the upcoming testing session at the Jerez circuit in Spain.
Baguette, the current Formula Renault 3.5 champion, will be joined by Renault’s reserve di Grassi and Chinese prospect Tung, who had already driven F1 machinery during a test with Williams.
Belgian Baguette will be on track on Tuesday, December 1 as his prize for winning the World Series title this year.

The Force India team has confirmed it will retain both Adrian Sutil and Tonio Liuzzi as its racing drivers for the 2010 season.
It will be the fourth consecutive season that German Sutil drives for the Silverstone-based squad, while Liuzzi secures a full-time drive for the first time since 2007.
“We are very pleased to retain the services of both Adrian and Tonio for another season,” said team boss Vijay Mallya.
