Schumacher comeback speculations continue in Germany

6 December 2009 No Comment

It looks like speculations around Michael Schumacher’ s possible comeback in Formula 1 with Mercedes Grand Prix are going to last until the German car manufacturer will officially announce Nico Rosberg’s team-mate for 2010. Mercedes Motorsport president Norberg Haug refused to rule out Schumacher as an option for the team.

Seven-time F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher was about to replace Felipe Massa but was unable to do so due to a neck injury. Ever since the German is surrounded with rumours about his comeback to Formula 1.

Schumacher started his career in autosport with German car manufacturer Mercedes and now that the company returns to Formula 1 with its own team following the take over of Brawn GP many hope Schumacher will join forces with his former engineer Ross Brawn and Norberg Haug.

In Germany newspaper Bild asked Norbert Haug if he could rule out the signing of Michael Schumacher. But instead of stopping all the rumours Haug replied by saying: “Clearly there are speculations when a cockpit needs to be filled, so who knows…”
